Week ahead: Wednesday we will be going with our Buddy Class to the pond in the afternoon. Please make sure to dress for the weather. Thursday is orange and black day. No costumes at school please. Friday there is no school for students. Have a great week!

Calling All Parent Volunteers! We desperately need your gift of time! Our class has the exciting opportunity of spending a week of school at the Arts Commons through Campus Calgary!   We will be attending during the week of Dec. 9-13. In order to be able to go we MUST have 4-5 volunteers each day .   Parents are welcome to volunteer for a single day or multiple days.   Volunteers need to ensure they have a current police clearance on file at school.   If you are able to volunteer please contact me as soon as possible at: adpenonzek@cbe.ab.ca A big thanks to those of you who have contacted me about volunteering! Here is what we still need to make this trip happen: Monday - We need 2-3 volunteers Tuesday - We need 3-4 volunteers Wednesday - We need 1 volunteer Thursday - We need 1 volunteer If we don’t get the volunteers we need, unfortunately we will have to cancel this experience. The Halloween Dance is on Thursday, Oct. 24th from 5:30-7:30. More information has been sent home today. If you are planning to attend please return the slip and money to the school. Thanks!

If you order Healthy Hunger for your child please be aware that we will be at the Art Commons on Dec. 10th and won't be at school to have the lunch. If you have already ordered I will ask that the order is put in the fridge and your child can bring it home after school. 

This week: Wednesday afternoon we will be going on a community walk. The weather looks like it will be a bit chilly, so please make sure that students are dressed for the weather.  There is no school for students on Friday and Monday is a holiday. This week we will be exploring our quality of life in Bridlewood. Over the past few weeks we have been discussing what makes us safe, happy, healthy and comfortable. In math we have been exploring representing numbers in a variety of ways. For example in standard form, pictures, base ten blocks and expanded form. The grade 2's have been exploring two digit numbers and the grade 3's have been looking at 3 digit numbers. This week we will be looking at different ways to show the same number using base ten blocks.
